More sakura + club talk

Since we had nothing better to do today, my host mom and I went to look at sakura (ohanami) in the local area. Since it might rain tomorrow, we thought it would be the best time to go, and I wasn't about to argue. The weather was so lovely, and of course, the trees were gorgeous. The park we went to was PACKED. (I wonder why?) As a result of the trip, I bring you...more sakura pictures, lol.

I love the sakura against the blue sky. Can you tell?

Randomly, they had a couple of areas with chipmunks.

This tree was so neat. It has two different color flowers blossoming on it. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.

Across the park was this area that had a patch of these bright yellow flowers. It looked really pretty with the pink of the sakura in the background. Also, apparently each year they have a sign in front of the yellow flower field saying you can take the flowers as you please.

This lady was walking her papillion around and I was all ;~~~~; I asked if I could get a picture and she was confused but okay with it, lol. Her dog's name is Mikan. This was actually the second papillion I saw today (why is it that I always see them in 2's?), but the other one was leaving just as we were trying to park.

Anyway, this is where my batteries started to die, and this was the last shot I got. Sooo pretty!

Sakura aside, I've been thinking about club stuff. I found out that there are a LOT more than are listed on the website and such. They have a keiongakubu, which is a rock music club I joined in high school. You make up mini bands and play/perform cover songs. That was AMAZING fun, so I'm really interested in finding out if I can join Sophia's keion. I really hope I can. I haven't practiced bass in a while, sadly, so if they don't like beginners/rusty people joining, then I'd be SOL, but it would be amazing if I could. I think their performance for freshman week is on Thursday, so I'll definitely go to check it out then and ask them. I wish they had included their cellphone e-mail addresses in the advertisement book rather than phone numbers. D: Oh well. I'll find out in time. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out if there are places where you can rent instruments like basses, and if so, where, how much, etc. Akiko says she knows someone who's son might have a bass I could use, and she said she would ask them, LOL. I didn't even ask her to do that, just asked if there was a PLACE where I could rent one. I swear this family goes up and over the top for me. I love them so much. ;__;

If keion is out of the question, then there are several dance clubs I'd be interested in joining. I already know that the Modern Dancers is A-OK with me joining, but their schedule is rough, so I might want to join one that's slightly less active. I've got all this week to decide, so I'm looking forward to checking everything out. So excited.

Anyway, it's almost 2AM here, so I need to sleep. Don't be surprised if I have more sakura pictures tomorrow, since Akiko's friends are planning on viewing sakura again tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
